Located at the heart of Library district, #MedinaCafé not only has captured the hearts of many brunch lovers, it has recently also became one of my all time favourite diner spots around town.
It was a fairly busy afternoon and we arrived at Medina half past twelve with a couple of groups awaiting for tables at the entrance. We were greeted and briefed by very welcoming staff about the wait time, and this has made it an extremely pleasant wait among the crowds.
Brunch (breakfast) starts as early as 8AM during the weekdays and 9AM on Saturdays and Sundays. While the cafe serves a number of Mediterranean-inspired brunching items any foodie would love, it also has amazing coffee and freshly made little Belgian waffles if you crave for delicious sweets in replacement of a lighter meal. You can also just be like us to get a table full of food and waffles for sharing.

I love my food with just a little kick to it so I ordered the famous Paella from the menu. I say famous because according to all the research done prior to ordering, you'd probably find a whole lot of nicely taken colourful near and far shots, and also a whole lot of positive reviews from regulars and food bloggers about the plating, colour combination and how wonderful the flavour profiles have come together in one of Medina's Signature.
I came in with a ridiculously high expectation; And you know what they said about keeping an open mind while trying a new place, where you should always "just go in with no expectations".
I cannot agree more until I found this local gem, because boy not only did I leave with a great deal of satisfaction, I also (just like my fellow #grammers) left with some really great near and far shots of it.
If you are a #coffeelover, I would also recommend you trying out their rich cup of latte with an extra pump of raspberry caramel.

Lastly, if you had fun dining at Cafe Medina, I bet you will also enjoy taking a picture on your way out (like I did) by their witty little door sign. Just like how you described it, you can be mediocre on a lot of things, but kid you not because you are right Medina Cafe life IS most definitely too short for shit (& mediocre if you're being polite) coffee or brunch!
